Beherit - Engram review

Another classic of black metal gets back in the fight:

Beherit's Engram thrusts forward through the past in a return to form for black metal, but takes it to the next dimension. Developing on the concepts shared between ambient music and metal, Engram is really raw but intensely structured, with a deepening mood.

Beherit - Engram review

From what people have been hinting, this is quite the album. Like a return to form for black metal, and then taking it to the next dimension. Really raw but really structured, with a deepening mood.

Anyone else looking forward to what could be the first classic of the black metal revival? Black metal has been so stale and boring for the last fifteen years, it's awesome to have something to look forward to with excitement again.

  1. May I say, Black Metal has not gone stale, the scenes in France, Sweden, Norway, Australia and USA (to some extent) have been extremely fruitful, it's simply been underground.

Just heard it for the first time last night, it's really good, really evil sounding. Highly recommended to fans of Drawing Down The Moon.
